The Fin Studio is a boutique agency based in Portland, Maine, rooted in the gen x & y segment, and lead by creative director, photographer, publisher and brand strategist Jim McGinley.
We work with Publishers, Editors, project managers, developers, marketing + team managers, and fellow creative directors in a top-down approach to connect them, their brand, or their client's with the elusive gen x & y audience.
Our strengths, connections, assets, and interests are centered within this audience with a view towards social and environmental ethics, counter-culture aesthetic, and contemporary artistic direction.
Just like the name implies by definition - we believe any good design or strategy, no matter what the medium or market, is a carefully crafted recipe of balance, aesthetic, and direction with authenticity, creative integrity, and market legitimacy at the forefront.
The name comes from the simple definition of the word:
